Truly. Old Blue Eyes aside– I don't have many big whopping regrets, but I'm coming to realize that possibly the long slow chronic regrets are the ones that get us in the end.
I came across this old chestnut again– a Guardian article about a nurse who compiled a list of the 5 biggest regrets her elderly patients had before dying. The list is resoundingly powerful. I think it's safe to say that everyone who reads it knows the full weight of all 5 of these regrets, and is bracingly reminded of the brevity of this life and the importance of truly seizing every precious day we have left.
I thought it might be helpful to switch some things around a bit and create a new list to guide those who are wanting to a live a purposeful life. Et voilá!
